Required: Upload assets and enter metadata for each app store.

Before submitting an app to any platform (your Channels), you must upload your app’s metadata and some assets. This allows your audience to find your app, and also get a sneak peek before download!

How to Upload

  1. Navigate to Content, Channels, and then Channel Setup in the MAZ Dashboard.

  2. Select the Channel to which you'd like to upload assets via the top right dropdown.

Now, add your app's metadata and assets!

Below, find the requirements for each platform, for both mobile and OTT.

Mobile

iOS App Store

Mobile App Icon (An app icon is a unique image added for every mobile application, and the first users see when they find an app on the Apple App Store): 1024 x 1024 px, square with corners, no transparency, 72 dpi, PNG

 

Metadata: App Store Name, Description, Primary Category, Secondary Category, Keywords, Copyright, Content Rating, Developers Website, and Release Notes.

  • Android TV App Icon (The most important identifying asset of your app. It will represent the app on the device home screen as well as in the app store): 512 x 512 px, no transparency, 72 dpi, PNG
  • Android TV Feature Graphic (This graphic will display like banner on your app store listing in the Google Play store. The graphic sits atop the page, behind your app icon): 1024 x 500 px, no transparency, 72 dpi, PNG/JPG/JPEG
  • Android TV Banner (Used to represent your app in the OTT store and home screen. It's an app store requirement to display your app name in this banner): 1280 x 720 px, no transparency, 72 dpi, PNG

    **Please note that your Android TV Banners should include the exact text of your app name and should include no additional text.

  • Android TV Banner Small (Used to represent your app in the OTT store and home screen. It's an app store requirement to display your app name in this banner): 320 x 180 px, no transparency, 320 dpi, PNG
  • Screenshots (These are examples of your content that will be displayed for your app within the App Store. They can be screenshots of anything, but we recommend exciting content with beautiful images to entice downloaders): 1920 x 1080 px, 72 dpi, PNG, upload at least 3, and up to 8

  • Screenshots (These are examples of your content that will be displayed for your app within the App Store. They can be screenshots of anything, but we recommend exciting content with beautiful images to entice downloaders): 1920 x 1080 px, 72 dpi, PNG, upload at least 3, and up to 8

  • Store Background (When users scroll across your app from a browse page, the Background Image appears in the upper-right corner of a mini-detail page. When users click your app icon, the Background Image can also fill the entire background): 1920 x 1080 px, 72 dpi, no transparency, PNG


Roku

  • Roku App Icon (SD) This will be used for the app icon on the home screen as well as in the App Store. Changing App Icon will require an app update: 248 x 140 px, no transparency, 72 dpi, PNG

  • Poster (Full HD) Treat this image as if it is your app icon. It will only be used in the Roku Channel store: 540 x 405 px, 72 dpi, PNG

  • Screenshots These are examples of your app's content that will be displayed in the App Store. They can be screenshots of anything, but we recommend exciting content with beautiful images to entice downloaders. You may upload up to five screenshots: 1920 x 1080 px, 72 dpi, PNG upload up to 5

The below image shows how the actual Icon will look once the images are processed by Samsung. Hence, it is important to choose the correct background image for your Logo.

NOTE: Don't forget to add your app's launch screen asset. These assets will appear across all platforms and within the app.
